About

Daniel fights for employees’ rights to hard-earned wages as part of Nichols Kaster’s National Wage and Hour Litigation Team.  Focusing on class and collective actions, Daniel represents workers seeking recovery of minimum wage, overtime, commission payments, and improper meal and break deductions.  He has dedicated his legal career to representing workers and consumers and ardently advocates for his clients and for their just claims of unpaid wages.

Daniel focuses on representing workers who have been denied their legal wages, regardless of the industry, type of violation, or location of work. His nationwide practice has included cases brought on behalf of security guards, massage therapists, flight attendants, sales representatives, mortgage underwriters, and homecare providers. He practices throughout the country, litigating in any court or proceeding necessary to vindicate his clients’ rights. He has practiced in state and federal trial courts, appellate courts, and supreme courts, as well as in bankruptcy, private arbitration, and before the California Labor Commissioner.

In addition to his wage and hour practice, Daniel has represented workers in a variety of workplace disputes, including pregnancy discrimination, workplace sexual assault, and unpaid retirement benefits. He volunteers regularly at the Workers’ Rights Clinic organized by Legal Aid at Work. He is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, the California Employment Lawyers Association, and CELA’s Barristers Committee.

Before joining Nichols Kaster, Daniel worked with a California-based law firm representing workers and unions in arbitrations and litigation. While in law school, Daniel represented dozens of workers in claims for unpaid wages before the California Labor Commissioner, and in unemployment insurance claims. He served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law, the Director of the Workers’ Rights Clinic, and was a recipient of the Boalt Hall Women’s Association Herma Hill Kay Fellowship.
