With the recent issuance of the Department of Labor’s final regulations governing overtime pay for the executive, administrative and professional exemptions, Nichols Kaster partner Michele Fisher provides a summary sheet of the regulations, the exemptions, and practice pointers (click here). The new salary level thresholds for these exemptions ($913 week/$47,476 year) go into effect on December 1, 2016 for employers subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act.
