Lexie is an associate attorney on the firm’s wage and hour team, where she is committed to making sure workers are paid fairly for their labor.
Prior to joining Nichols Kaster, Lexie worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office in their civil litigation practices, gaining experience in the courtroom and in front of the Minnesota Court of Appeals. She graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Law where she was both a Saeks Residency Fellow and Cooper Fellow. She also received the 2023 Minnesota State Bar Association’s Bernard P. Becker Student Volunteer Award for her commitment to serving low-income communities. During law school, Lexie gained additional experience interning with Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services, and the American Civil Liberties Union of Minnesota protecting the rights of the most vulnerable Minnesotans. Prior to law school, Lexie represented Social Security Disability and Medicaid recipients in administrative proceedings at Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati. She continues to work with Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services as a volunteer attorney in their housing clinic.
